That's why we decided to share with you some of grandmother's tips for cleaning and laundry. 🧽🧴🧹
First of all, most of our grandmothers love plants and always use them when it comes to cleaning.
Personally, my grandmother mainly uses lavender for all the stubborn smells like tobacco or food that is hard to remove. Indeed, lavender has a strong and very pleasant smell that screams spring, and using it in household products will be a big plus. Not only does a flower’s scent remind us of spring in this month of March, lavender has anti-mites properties.
Yes, bed bugs are unfortunately very common and many people don't notice them. Thanks to lavender, your bedding will stay healthy and clean.
Finally, lavender has antibacterial properties, so using it in household products is a very good alternative. Here are our lavender-based products, check them out!
We all know the orange blossom and its very sweet scent but we may not know all its virtues. Indeed, the orange blossom gives off a soothing and relaxing scent. Not only is it used against stress and anxiety but also against insomnia disorders. Its essential oil is called Neroli. Neroli essential oil has also anti-bacterial and anti-infectious properties. Grandmothers use it a lot for laundry, to leave a soothing and soft scent on clothes. If you haven't tested it yet (or if you just want to restock), here are our Orange Blossom based detergents, which will bring freshness and cleanliness to all your outfits!
We don't necessarily think about it, but toothpaste is super useful also for house cleaning. So, of course, we're going to share with you some of grandma's tips with toothpaste.
First of all, it is useful to remove limescale from sinks and shower heads.
A Less common but just as useful tip, the toothpaste perfectly cleans the joints of your tiles perfectly.
You can use it as a stain remover on clothes as well.
Try it out for yourself! Adopt toothpaste for cleaning!

White vinegar is essential for all types of cleaning . Above all, It’s a disinfectant and antibacterial. It can be used to maintain pipes and remove bad smells, but also to degrease dishes and clean / disinfect your toilets. You can even add it directly to your dishwasher dispenser and degrease your dishes in depth. Grandmothers use it a lot to wash the washing machine. And yes, we often forget to wash it but it’s important against mould. It is clearly used for all the stages of cleaning: disinfectant, degreaser, stain remover, anti-odor, anti-limescale, descaler, it cleans deeply and even makes it shine!
Rosemary was probably our first air freshener. In medieval times, the branches were laid on the ground or burned to mask bad smells. This branch is an all-purpose herb; used in cooking, for healing, as a hair tonic and as a rinse. For my part, my grandmother used it to cure headaches and colds (in infusion)! A trick that is now passed on from generation to generation!
Coming back to our cleaning, rosemary is ideal for carpets, floors, windows, kitchen and bathroom counters. Using it with lavender will provide you with a powerful and effective remedy. You can find our rosemary and lavender products here.

Baking soda is a mixture of salt, limestone and CO2. It is a miracle product for the household. First of all it can be used as a stain remover and is very effective against stubborn stains on carpets and fabric. It cleans just about everything (to remove burn stains on your electric hobs, clean your oven, remove stains from your fabric sofa, ...). Baking soda is also used to bleach all types of fabrics. It can also be used to remove all types of smells. But also, we spoke previously, about white vinegar, the mixture of white vinegar + baking soda can unclog your pipes. In short, baking soda is a cleaning must! We understand better why our grandmothers venerate it.
Need we say more?, it is always necessary and beneficial to listen to our grandmothers!Their tricks are always natural, effective and will remain timeless! 👵💗
