When I was younger I used to constantly vision board my future, I would research the things I wanted to have and do, and I would honestly believe that I was quite a lucky person. Eventually, I stopped vision boarding and researching the things I wanted to do and achieve and for some strange reason I began to think it was wrong to think I was a lucky person! If I look back I was certainly achieving more of my dreams when I would vision board, imagine a positive future and believe in good fortune. I didn't realise then that I was, in fact, practising the law of attraction.
Now you might be rolling your eyes at this point, thinking it's conceited to believe in being a lucky person or that it's impossible to vision board and manifest your future. But if you really think about it, when was the last time you had a good day when you were stuck in the mindset that it would be terrible?
I don't believe in star signs and zodiacs, I always felt that they were like a self-fulfilling prophecy and I'd rather fulfil my own vision of the future then something set out by a stranger in a book or magazine. So this is where I eventually began to research the law of attraction and what it actually meant.
If I put positive energy into the universe and believe that good things will come and that I am capable of making them happen then I know from past experiences that this will be true. Yes, I know it sounds a little crazy!
When I look back over the past few years I know that I have seen the results of this practise and I don't know if it's magic or the energy of the universe, or just having a clear sense of what I want and going after it, but I believe you make your own luck and you have the power to shape your own future.
There's a great and easily (if not a little OTT) digestible show on Netflix called The Secret or you can get it as an audiobook or book, and this is a great introduction into the ideas behind the law of attraction.
One thing to note is that it's one thing to believe or want to believe in the law of attraction, but without action, it will not work.
